Our campsite will be run at the beautiful Healesville Amateur Race Club (HARC). With flat, grassy camp sites and ample room for caravans and campers, the HARC site is a wonderful and affordable accommodation option for our patrons.
We look forward to welcoming you all!
How much does it cost?
BYO Camping is $35 per person for the duration of the festival. This is for up to and including 3 nights camping, (Friday, Saturday and Sunday). Children 13 and under may camp free of charge with a festival ticket holding adult. Please indicate on your camping booking if you have children of this age with you so that they also get their camping wristbands.
This year we have included a family pass for people with older children - saving you more than $100 on full priced tickets.
How do I book and pay
You can book and pay when you buy your Festival tickets here as soon as they are released for 2020. When you arrive in Healesville you will need to call into the Festival Office which is located at the Healesville Racecourse at 109 Healesville-Kinglake Road in Healesville, opposite the RACV country club. When you register there you will collect your Campers Pack. For details of prices, and to buy camping passes, go to our Tickets page.
What is a Campers Pack?
The Campers Pack is very important! It will contain special wrist bands for you and members of your group which will identify you as official Healesville Music Festival Campers allowing you access to the grounds. All campers must wear their campers’ wrist band during the weekend. The pack will also include these guidelines.
Where is Healesville Racecourse?
The Healesville Racecourse is located at 109 Healesville-Kinglake Road in Healesville, opposite the RACV country club. It is an easy 15-minute stroll from the centre of town. A shuttle bus will run regularly between the racecourse and the other festival venues.
When can I set up my campsite?
Access to the Racecourse will be open from midday on Friday 20th November 2020 and our festival office will be ready to assist you.
How many nights can I stay?
The camping site will be set up temporarily for the purpose of the Healesville Music Festival. Campers who have paid for their Festival ticket and camping will be allowed to camp the Friday, Saturday and Sunday night of the Festival. We ask that all camp sites be cleared by 10 am Monday as we need time to clean up the site.
Can I bring my campervan or trailer?
Yes, you can. There is plenty of room for vans and campers, however no powered sites are available.
Will the campsites be allocated?
No. Camp sites will be taken on a first in best dressed basis. (Trust us - they're all good! Some will just be a little bit of a further walk to the toilets than others).
What facilities are available at the Racecourse?
There are ample permanent toilets at the Healesville Racecourse and we will be bringing in extra showers for the weekend. Please leave the facilities as clean as possible. Cleaning will be done periodically and your patience is appreciated if the facilities are closed for this to occur.
There will be bins available for your rubbish and recycling. Please keep the festival site clean for the health and safety of yourself and your fellow campers.
There is a good supply of fresh water at the track for drinking and 'bird bathing.'
Children are welcome. Keep them safe.
Children must remain under the care of their parent/guardian whilst in the camping area and any of the festival venues. Please also note there is a fast running creek beside the racecourse and keep your children away from the water. There's loads of flat space for their push bikes too! (Don't forget the bike lock)
Can I bring my pet to the Racecourse?
No. Under our hire agreement with HARC, pets are not permitted on the site.
Parking and Vehicle use over the Festival weekend.
The road leading to the camping areas will carry significant foot traffic. After unloading, campers are requested to obtain whatever supplies are necessary and then leave their cars parked in the camping area for the weekend in order to minimise the vehicles moving through the festival site.
Will there be food and drink available?
Yes! Don't forget your refillable water bottle as single use water bottles will not be sold at the festival. A number of food and drink vendors will be selling food for the duration of the festival. Alcohol will be sold at the racecourse and our venue area will be licenced. We will have security personnel monitoring our licenced area as this is a condition of our liquor licence. There is an abundance of cafes and restaurants in Healesville and we recommend that you visit them also. Have a look at the Visit Yarra Valley site here to plan your trip.
Is there a music venue at the Racecourse?
Yes! Our 3 main venues are here. The Monda Muse, Juliet's and Little Joe's. Check out our 2019 Artists page for the full lineup.
I'm a Festival Volunteer do I still need to pay for camping?
No. Thank you for volunteering! Your time helping us with the festival will get you a weekend pass in to all of the festival venues and events.
Will there be a session?
It's very likely. For the comfort of all campers the night session will be held in the Monda Muse venue and not in the campsite.
Let's play nice.
Consideration is to be given to other campers and once the program is finished for the night, noise is also to cease in the camping area. Everyone is here for a good time. Please respect the wishes and privacy of all campers.
We are a fun, family festival so we do not expect any problems but inconsiderate people will have their festival passes revoked and will be ejected from the site.
▪ Consideration is to be given to other campers.
▪ Sessions are to be run at the music venues, and not at the camp site after hours.
▪ At the racecourse, lights out is a reasonable time after music finishes at the main venues.
▪ No campfires are to be lit at the camp sites.
▪ The camp sites are not public camping areas and only festival ticket holders are entitled to camp in these areas.
While it is extremely unlikely to occur, should these conditions be breached, offenders will be requested to leave and festival passes will be cancelled.
