The Yarra Valley Musicians Collective
The Yarra Valley Musicians Collective (The Committee) was founded by an affiliated group of musicians
aspiring to see their dream of a music festival in Healesville.
The committee has always supported the music community in Healesville and has chosen to be the pioneers
of such an event. The Yarra Valley Musicians Collective is an organisation that believes in musical excellence;
community and environmental awareness is what guides their passion. Its members continue to work tirelessly
to create and grow the Healesville Music Festival.
As the name would suggest, this family friendly free event is located in the town of Healesville, nestled just 70 kms
from the heart of Melbourne in the world famous Yarra Valley region of Victoria.
The Yarra Valley is better known for its award winning wine, fine food and countless tourist activities and is now
becoming increasingly known for its wealth of artists.
The festival aims to support the valleys diverse population of local musicians, its cultural diversity, surrounding
communities and national touring artists in a music festival atmosphere like no other.
This all set with a back drop of the nations gum tree covered Great Dividing Range setting the scene for The Healesville
Music Festival to triumph.
Previous performers at the festival include Tin Pan Orange and Mick Thomas (formerly of Weddings Partys Anything fame),
Micka Etheridge, Ewan Cloonan Union, The Hannafords, Richie Langford, Jeary and TK & Rose.
