Ganga Giri mixes red natural elements with fat tribal beats and dirty funky bass lines to create a unique tribal- technological deep earth dance experience. Explosive and pulsating, at times ambient and flowing, the music is a pumping percussive multi-layered experience of complex grooves and raw, deep natural sound. Blending an array of tribal percussion with congas, djembe, bougarabou, Nigerian talking drum, mbira with authentic indigenous moves & Aboriginal dancers. GANGA GIRI’s live show is a modern/primitive celebration; a melting pot unifying many musical genres and cultures. Joining GANGA GIRI on stage is rich dub/reggae dancehall vocalist and celebrator Jornick Joe Lick – hailing from French Guyana, drummer Dan Pearson playing live electronic beats, Indigenous songman and dancer Gumaroy and Yeshe Reiners on percussion and melodic world instruments (Mbira and Kamele N’goni) Richie Langford and The Engine Room formed and played their first gig at the Healesville Music Festival back in May 2010. Since then it has been full steam ahead with regular gigs around the Yarra Valley at popular hotels and wineries. The Engine Room consists of four well seasoned musicians. Richie is on guitar, vocals and harmonica; Kim Farrell is on lead guitar and vocals; and the Engine Room gets its name from the accomplished rhythm section of David “Dougie” McDougall and Jono “bass man” Zwart.   Their music will have feet tapping with a cool mix of swing, shuffle and rockin’ blues. For a professional hard working blues band you can’t go wrong with these guys. Craig and Auriol are a talented twosome who’ve developed their own contemporary folk/country sound since 2004 when they wrote their first song together. They first started playing and writing at the encouragement of friends, and have been working at their craft ever since.  Craig’s unique guitar style has developed as he re learnt playing, following a significant hand injury. Auriol has been juggling singing with babies and work for as long as She can remember… Currently they have two CD’s, and the third is on its way. They have been finalists in the Roddy Read Songwriting Competition (Maldon folk Festival) in 2005 and 2007. In 2009 Auriol received a nomination in the Victorian National and Country awards (Whittlesea) for Victorian Female Vocalist and this year, 2011, The Hannafords were twice top 2 finalists in the Merv Lowry traditional country and in the Victorian group of the year sections. “…This couple are the real deal. Real songs about real people….”- HughMcDonald (2010) LILY & KING create rousingly catchy music and radiate a soulful kind of magic. Their set sits somewhere between a captivating 40's nightclub routine and the raw, rambunctious spirit of New Orleans street buskers. With trombone, toy piano, prayer bells, guitar, half a drum kit and an abundance of foot stomping, a Lily and King gig is a truly wild and joyful experience Kurt Gentle is a currently unsigned Australian singer- songwriter/guitar wizard hailing from Victoria. Kurt’s music echos that of such artists as John Butler Trio, Eric Bibb, Newton Faulkner, Bob Marley and The Wailers and Ben Harper. His musical aptitude stems from over eight years of playing guitar and a new found talent in singing helps him bring to the table a mix of roots, folk and reggae inspired music. David is a freelance musician from the Outer Eastern suburbs of Melbourne VIC, who plays solo Acoustic and Electric guitar covering a range of styles and genres. He began playing at the age of 12 years and has developed his ability consistently throughout his secondary schooling career. He offers a complete performance on his instrument, delivering more than simply playing the guitar. Drawing influences from a wide range of music and musicians, David treats the guitar as an entire musical package as opposed to merely a solo instrument, performing and demonstrating a wide range of techniques such as playing percussive guitar utilising the sound qualities associated with the neck and body of the instrument in conjunction with standard guitar playing practices. Performing a range of covers and original material, David is sure to impress as a soloist. TK and Rose first conceived their unique gypsy/jazz/reggae sound on a road trip to Uluru in 2006. After a run of shows in Melbourne, they headed off to the UK where they further developed their repertoire with the support of numerous local musicians. Their travel itinerary included performances at Glastonbury festival, Strawberry fair and various gigs throughout Europe. After recording their debut EP, they left behind a much loved rhythm section to return to Australia to perform as a duo. TK and Rose’s cheeky songs and vibrant chemistry will bring colour to your day.
